At least two dice (test them in a choke tube before allowing children to play with them)
Start with one die and demonstrate the activity by throwing it, counting the dots and then performing an action that number of times, such as blinking, wiggling your nose, or touching your ear. Then, have your child do the same and alternate back and forth with him. For older children, throw two dice, then count the dots and add them together. Play this game until a certain sum is reached.
This is a wonderful game to play in restaurants or while enduring long waits. While commuting, children can play by themselves, using the top of a shoebox.
