    School-Age Summer Camp

"The land is where our roots are. The children must be taught to feel and live in harmony with the Earth." -Dr. Maria Montessori

We offer a dynamic summer camp program for children ages 6-12. Our camp provides children with fun opportunities to explore, create, and enjoy the wonders of the season. Each weekly session provides a unique thematic program so children can experience a variety of topics in depth. Learning at Bright Horizons is a journey of discovery, investigation, experimentation, and collaboration. Read More

What Parents are Saying

Our greatest advocates are our families.

"If all leaders demonstrated the respect, confidence, and compassion that we’ve experienced at your school, we would live in a much better world."

Color Cards

You Will Need:

File folders in 6 different colors, clear contact paper, a hole/paper punch (a shape punch, such as a star or heart can be fun), scissors, a metal ring that opens and closes

Directions:

To Prepare Cards:

  • Cover the file folder with contact paper
  • Cut file folder into 1-by-6-inch strips
  • Punch a hole in one end of each strip in the same spot
  • Hold the strips together by inserting the metal ring through holes and fastening together
Show your child one color at a time, say the name of the color, and have him or her find something in the area or think of something that is the same color. Having the card to look at while you say the name of the color is a great help for toddlers who are learning their colors.

Tip:

Use these cards while waiting for trains, planes, and buses, or while waiting for an appointment.
